In September 2004, a commemorative tree was planted in memory of Mel Pritchard in the Memorial Forest at Dovestones Reservoir, near Greenfield, Saddleworth:

How To Get There
Dovestones Reservoir is close to Greenfield in the Saddleworth area, at the edge of the Peak District National Park. From Greenfield, take the A669 then the A635 towards Holmfirth, then turn right into Bank Lane, signposted for the reservoir. Park at the main Bank Lane RSPB car park, and it's a pleasant stroll anti-clockwise around the reservoir to reach the 'Life For A Life' memorial forest. If using a satnav, the postcode is OL3 7NE.
The closest railway station is Greenfield, near Oldham - outside the station, turn right, walk down the hill following main road (A669), follow sharp left bend, pass Tesco on the left and continue to mini-roundabout with pub on corner. Turn left up Holmfirth Road (A635). Turn right at brown sign for Dove Stone reservoir.
