Mandalaband Albums Remastered and Remixed
13th October, 2010
The first two Mandalaband albums, Mandalaband and The Eye Of Wendor, have been completely remixed and remastered by David Rohl from the original multi-track master tapes, and will be made available as a double CD digipack in November.
The debut album dates from 1975 and the band included most of the musicians who went on to form Sad Café. 1978's The Eye Of Wendor featured a host of stars, amongst whom were all four members of Barclay James Harvest, plus Justin Hayward, Maddy Prior, 10cc, Sad Café and many more.
The set comes with previously unreleased demos and alternative versions for both albums, and will be issued by David's own label, Legend Records.
Details of the tracklisting and how to pre-order the set can be found at the online shop on this site.

John Lees' Barclay James Harvest will be performing a one-off concert at Buxton Opera House on Saturday, February 19th, which will also form part of the 40th anniversary celebrations. The band plan to play a selection of songs from Once Again at the concert, as well as other classics, old and new.
Finally (for now!) John gave an extensive interview about the album to Classic Rock Presents Prog yesterday, and that will appear soon, possibly in the next edition.

Berlin on DVD
18th May, 2010
At long last, we're delighted to announce that A Concert For The People - Berlin will be officially issued on DVD in August by Eagle Vision. The release will mark the 30th anniversary of the original concert which BJH gave to an estimated audience of 175,000 people on the steps of the Reichstag in what was then West Berlin.
The bad news is that, in spite of a thorough search by all concerned, it has proved impossible to find any unreleased footage from the concert. However, the good news is that the original footage which appeared on the old VHS video will be supplemented by the five rarely-seen videos which the band made for selected tracks from the Time Honoured Ghosts album.
At the same time, Esoteric Recordings will reissue a repackaged 11-track version of the Berlin CD. More details, including pricing and how to pre-order the DVD, will follow shortly.
